Broken Arrow Public Schools announced the homecoming parade for the 2020 school year has been canceled.
“Due to the complexities of organizing an event with so many outside organizations at this time, it is not possible to hold the homecoming parade this year,” Broken Arrow Public Schools Student Activities Director Christian Welborn said. “Our main goal as a school district is to focus our energy and resources on having school and continuing co-curricular activities that can be properly social distanced.”
Officials said the football game against Edmond Memorial on Oct. 9 is not impacted.
