A man who was ordered to report to federal prison back in April finally arrived Thursday night.
Casey Parker was charged last fall with trying to entice what he thought was a 14-year-old girl into sexually explicit behavior online. He pleaded guilty to attempted receipt of child pornography and in March, the judge ordered Parker to go to prison for seven years, starting in April.
However, Parker asked for an extension because of the number of COVID-19 cases in the federal prisons. The judge told Parker to report in June, but once again, Parker asked for an extension saying he had asthma which would put him at higher risk for the virus.
He was then told to report in September. Parker asked for another extension, but this time the judge denied the request.
