Someone struck gold at Arkansas's Crater of Diamonds state park.
Kevin Kinard thought he had found a piece of glass at the park, which lets visitors sift for diamonds, but turned out that piece of glass was a 9 carat diamond! It's the second largest diamond found since 1975 with the largest being 16.37-carats. Arkansas State Parks website says their policy is "finders keepers" so the diamond is Kevin's to keep.
So far this year 246 diamonds have been registered at the Crater of Diamonds weighing a total of more than 59 carats.
On average, people find one or two diamonds there daily.
