The Cowboys are doing a lot of things right at the moment. The school announced zero positive COVID-19 cases for the second straight week and the on-the-field product is not too bad either.

Football in 2020 for the Cowboys has been like jumping in a time machine jumping back three decades. In this style of play led by defense, OSU is only allowing 10 points per game.

For the first time since the game at Texas last season, the Cowboys had two 100-yard rushers. The Cowboys leading ball carrier against the Mountaineers was LD Brown.

It was fitting that OSU’s first Ring of Honor Inductee, all-time leading rusher Thurman Thomas, was on hand for the ceremony. He met with the running backs, showing them his signature touchdown celebration, the cabbage patch.

Later it was Brown, breaking free on a 66-yard TD run, who paid homage to Thomas.

“It was on my mental, so when I got the crease and hit it and I scored, it just naturally happened,” Brown said.

This week, a trip to Lawrence, where the Cowboys haven’t lost in over two and a half decades.
