Veteran Salute: Heather McKibben

We're continuing to recognize veterans across Green Country who are making a difference in their communities.

Today, we are honoring Heather McKibben.

Heather is from Checotah, and we are told she is a "marine for life."

Following her active duty service, she served near Ground Zero assisting veterans affected by 9/11.

She's also involved with a Veterans Service Organization and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

We are told she will drop everything to help a veteran at a moment's notice, and she is a caring leader.
