'Black Lives Matter' Mural To be Removed For Scheduled Road Maintenance

A road maintenance project is scheduled to start on Monday along Greenwood Avenue just north of East Archer Street, that will remove the "Black lives matter" painting.

The Tulsa City Council recommended in September that the mayor use the scheduled maintenance project to remove the mural along greenwood.

Crews will replace the asphalt and do general patchwork on the road.     

City officials said access to businesses will remain open, and the project should only take about a week.
