Members of the Oklahoma City Thunder are in Tulsa Friday evening encouraging people to get registered to vote.
The team is hosting a registration drive at Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa.
The drive is the first the team has done in Tulsa.
They've been holding voter registration drives in Oklahoma City for the past week and will hold more this weekend.
They say their goal is to get as many people out to vote as possible and registered to vote.
It's an initiative the NBA has also been supporting.
At these events, you can grab packets that have voter information in them, request an absentee ballot, or register.
They also have Thunder entertainers and they're handing out Thunder votes t-shirts as well.
"We're not telling people who to vote for,” said Paris Lawson, Thunder reporter. “We're just saying if you want your voice heard and you want your vote to count, you gotta make sure you're registered first of all and then get out and vote as well."
The deadline to register to vote for the November election is next Friday on October 9th.
