Woman Killed, 1 Hospitalized Following Car Wreck

One woman has died and another is in the hospital after a car wreck in Turley, Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The OHP said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. near East 56th Street North and Peoria Avenue Monday evening.

Officials said a woman was driving westbound when she tried to pass another westbound car in a no-passing zone.

OHP troopers said 62 year old Terri Stafford was pronounced dead on the scene by the Tulsa Fire Department.

According to troopers 37 year old Deysi Guerrido Canas was taken to the hospital and was stable when admitted.

Troopers said the cause of the crash is under investigation however, they do know that seat-belts were being used in both vehicles.
