The original Black Lives Matter street painting on Greenwood has been removed, but a smaller painting is now on the street.

A small "BLM" has been painted on the east and west sides of the road. That was painted over again on Wednesday afternoon.

The city of Tulsa removed the large painted "Black Lives Matter" message during a street resurfacing project.

Some city councilors were concerned that by allowing the "Black Lives Matter" painting, the city would then have to allow other groups to also have street paintings.
