Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Says Gilcrease Expressway Construction 30% Complete

Crews have begun making progress on a portion of the Gilcrease Expressway that will eventually connect Highway-412 and the Tisdale Parkway with I-44 in West Tulsa. The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority said more than 400 people are working on the extension currently. Crews are working on 17 of the 22 different bridges involved in the project.

Crews have begun making progress on a portion of the Gilcrease Expressway that will eventually connect Highway-412 and the Tisdale Parkway with I-44 in West Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority said more than 400 people are working on the extension currently. Crews are working on 17 of the 22 different bridges involved in the project.

OTA officials said 30% of the overall project has been complete and the nice weather has kept the project on schedule.

According to officials, the project is expected to be finished by the Fall of 2022.
