Poll Workers In Demand As COVID-19 Puts Usual Volunteers At Risk

As the Presidential election nears many communities around the country are scrambling to get the poll worker volunteers they need. COVID-19 is responsible for a shortage of poll workers all around the country. According to a 2018 study about 58% of poll workers are 61 and older, and many feel being exposed to the high volume of voters is too big of a risk.

As the Presidential election nears many communities around the country are scrambling to get the poll worker volunteers they need.

COVID-19 is responsible for a shortage of poll workers all around the country. According to a 2018 study about 58% of poll workers are 61 and older, and many feel being exposed to the high volume of voters is too big of a risk.

Volunteers are allowed the opportunity to work a poll in the county where they live.
