Tulsa police have said a shooting near 21st and Garnett left one man in the hospital and a teenager behind bars.
According to Tulsa police, officers were originally responding to a crash in the area, however, an officer said he heard a gunshot, when he went to go check the area out, he was met by a person saying they had been shot.
Officials said the victim is Dewayne Kruse.
Police said Kruse was working at the Joy Mart convenience store when an SUV filled with four juveniles came up to him asking if he would sell marijuana for them.
Kruse told police the juveniles pointed a gun at him, but he was able to knock it out of their hands. According to authorities, the suspects then chased Kruse through the parking lot and eventually shot him in the back.
Police added that there was an eyewitness to the attack.
Officials said they eventually found one of those suspects close to the scene, taking a 13-year-old to jail. Police said it was this teen who fired the gun.
Kruse was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
