Tulsa Public Schools Board members will meet once again on Monday to discuss the possible return to in-person learning for students in middle school, Jr. High, and High School.
Last week, the Board voted to return Pre-K and Kindergarten students back to the classroom by November 9th and first through third-grader students by November 16th. The board also voted to allow fourth and fifth-graders back on November 30th, along with sixth-grade students if they attend an elementary school that includes a sixth grade.
Schools will run on a four-day week with Wednesdays serving as distance learning days.
TPS Superintendent, Dr. Deborah Gist said, "we will be tracking very very closely our numbers in the district, at schools, monitoring all of that so we can make sure that we are on top of the situation and we'll intervene and make adjustments where we need to."
The TPS Board is set to meet virtually at 4 p.m. on Monday.
