Two Oklahoma football teams came together to help a boy make a special play.

Natasha McKinney said this is the first year her son, Blaze, has played football. The five-year-old has health issues that affect his bone density. Blaze is also deaf in both ears and wears hearing aids.

He plays for a team in McCurtain County and during a recent game against Broken Bow, the teams worked together so Blaze could run the ball for the first time.

“As far as me and my husband, just to see Blaze run the ball and play, none of that was staged, the players did it all on their own,” McKinney said.

His mom said that moment shows Blaze is the true meaning of teamwork.
