Oklahoma's COVID-19 hospitalizations have hit a new record high, with 821 patients currently fighting the virus in Oklahoma hospitals. Of those patients, 319 are currently in the Intensive Care Unit.
Integris Director of Infections Diseases Dr. David Chansolme said, "Just because you walk into any emergency room and I won't name a hospital, but any emergency room, that doesn't mean you're going to get a bed at that ER or at that hospital. A lot of times we have to kind of move people around. We've had to move people out of their home cities before just to find a COVID bed."
Health experts said without more guidance and resources from state leaders COVID-19 hospitalizations will continue to increase.
