Epic Charter Schools will be the subject of an investigative audit presentation during a House meeting on Wednesday.
Oklahoma's House Education Committee will hear from both State Auditor Cindy Byrd and State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister on the audit. The Appropriations and Budget Subcommittee for Education chaired by State Representatives Rhonda Baker and Mark McBride will also be a part of this afternoon's hearing.
The audit outlines concerns about how EPIC handled taxpayer dollars and student enrollment numbers. Recently, the State Board of Education is ordering EPIC to return more than $11 million to the state.

"This is not about the Epic teachers or the students or anything like this. This is basically just about how the money was spent. Is there a problem?" said Rep. McBride.
That's set for 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Epic is also set to have school board meetings for both of the district's programs on Wednesday. Epic's Assistant Superintendent says the audit will be the main topic of those meetings.
The meetings will be at 5:30 and 6:30 Wednesday evening.
You can watch them live on Epic's Facebook page.
