The Rogers County Election Board says it's hiring more poll workers than normal for this year's election.
The election board secretary says they're adding more people because of an expected increase of voters and to enforce changes being made because of COVID-19. That means there will be workers focusing on sanitizing as voters come in and out.
Secretary Julie Dermody says she's looking for even more poll workers especially because she doesn't have enough people to step in if someone gets sick or comes down with the virus.
"It's always good to have a few people in my back pocket. Right now, I don't have anyone in my back pocket. Everyone's working," said Dermody.
