A project to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 51 and Evans Road in Broken Arrow will begin on Monday. The intersection is one mile southeast of the Highway 51 and Creek Turnpike intersection in Wagoner County.

A project to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 51 and Evans Road in Broken Arrow will begin on Monday.

The intersection is one mile southeast of the Highway 51 and Creek Turnpike intersection in Wagoner County.

Throughout the project, highway shoulders will be closed and short-term lane closures are possible.

According to officials from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, drivers should be alert for crews and equipment in the area.

The project is scheduled to be completed in December of 2020 as long as weather conditions permit.
