Absentee Ballot Counting Could Delay Election Results

While millions of voters have already cast a ballot for either President Donald Trump or former Vice president Joe Biden, it is still unclear if voters will know the results of the election on Tuesday night. It is not uncommon for a Presidential race to not be decided on election night, it even happened during the 2016 election.

While millions of voters have already cast a ballot for either President Donald Trump or former Vice president Joe Biden, it is still unclear if voters will know the results of the election on Tuesday night.

It is not uncommon for a Presidential race to not be decided on election night, it even happened during the 2016 election.

Currently, there is a backlog of absentee ballots across the United States and it could take a few days to go through them. At least 98 million ballots have already been cast, more than double the early vote in the 2016 election.

On Monday, President Trump and Joe Biden hit the campaign trail, rallying support before a winner is announced. President Trump held a midnight rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan just as he did before his 2016 victory. Meanwhile, Former Vice president Joe Biden was in Pittsburgh where he kicked off his campaign in 2019.

As results begin to come in on Tuesday night, President Trump plans to be at the White House while Joe Biden has two more events scheduled in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
