The 4A Championship is up for grabs Friday night in Skiatook, where it’s a battle of bulldogs with Wagoner coming to town.

Skiatook is the underdog and looking to stop Wagoner’s undefeated season.

Skiatook has the tall task to knock off a Wagoner team that is looking for their seventh perfect regular season in the past 11 years.

Skiatook is embracing the underdog role, as the two teams are set to meet for the first time since 2005.

“We have been in this position before, it’s nothing new for us but we have come through in the end multiple times, so we are ready for it,” Skiatook quarterback Mason Willingham said.

Willingham might just be a sophomore but has already become a leader for the Bulldogs.

Willingham has over 1,000 yards along with 16 touchdowns. Head Coach Vance Miller said he is the rock to the dogs’ offense.

Vance Miller/ Skiatook Head Coach: "He is a very good player for us, he is definitely special,” Miller said. “We call it iron man football - you have to play both ways and he has done a good job making sure he is in shape and just leading by effort."

With the chance to knock off Wagoner and end their undefeated streak, Skiatook is taking all the precautions, hitting the film room a little bit harder this week along with the intensity it’s turned up in practice.

"It’s been a studying, just a lot of studying on the weekend and preparing for it during the week,” Willingham said.
