Bixby North Elementary students will transition to distance learning for the next two weeks beginning Monday, November 9.
Additionally, students at Bixby High School and the Ninth Grade Center will also switch to distance learning for the next two weeks. According to a Facebook post, the district said it was having students make the switch because of several new COVID-19 cases among employees and students.
Students would return to the physical classroom on November 20, but because of a scheduled Thanksgiving break, they will not return until Monday, November 30.
All other students in the district will continue with in-person learning at this time.
The district said the schedule for distance learning at North Elementary will be the same as what they did earlier in the semester. Students who were previously issued a Chromebook for distance learning can pick those up at the school between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, November 9.
Also, families who need to pick up a free breakfast and lunch for their student(s) can get those at North Elementary School from 8:45-10:15 a.m. each day during the two-week distance learning period. However, parents will need to fill out an online form to pick up those meals. Click Here to access the form.
