Trial Date Set For Mother Of Toddlers Who Drowned In May

A Tulsa County judge set the trial date for the mother of two Tulsa children who drowned in May.

Donisha Willis is scheduled to stand trial on second-degree murder charges in March. In May, it took first responders from several agencies almost a week to find the bodies of three-year-old Miracle Crook and her two-year-old brother Tony.

Police said surveillance video showed them walking through a gap in the fence near their apartment complex that led to Mingo Creek. Officers said Willis was found sleeping after the kids disappeared and refused to help find them.

Willis' attorney said she did initially look for them, but believed the children were with their legal guardians at the time.
