The Tulsa Honor Academy broke ground Wednesday on a new outdoor practice field for students.
The development near 15th and Sheridan will include a soccer field and track. It’s part of an expansion by the school after new classrooms were added to the campus in August.
School administrators said they’re working to give all students the same opportunities.
“How to support them better in college admissions, and when they go to college just generally how to be successful adults,” Academy Director Amanda Yuen said. “We want to make sure they have opportunities like soccer, like track and field."
The new field is expected to be ready for students to use in January.
