Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is back in the state on Thursday after two days of meetings in Washington D.C.

The governor was in the nation's capital meeting on issues such as COVID-19 relief, economic development and the fallout from the historic Supreme Court decision that determined half of Oklahoma to be tribal land.

Governor Stitt said, "They're just letting me know what the politics and what the difficulty is on some changes on the federal side, and I'm letting them know what the future of Oklahoma looks like if we have this uncertainty."

According to Governor Stitt, the state is seeing lawsuits related to criminal convictions in eastern Oklahoma, requests for income tax reimbursement, questions about water rights and drilling authority.
