Amazing Oklahoman: Selena Fesler

One amazing Oklahoman is a mail carrier from Shawnee whose quick action helped to save a family’s home and their pet.

Selena Fesler was delivering mail last month, right after the big ice storm in parts of Oklahoma. Downed power lines started a house fire along her route, and she started pounding on the doors and windows, calling 911 immediately.

The family wasn’t home, but she did alert firefighters in time for them to rescue the family dog and prevent serious damage to the house.
