Chef Violet shares a recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Ingredients
1/2 cup of butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp hot water
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Cream the butter and both sugars till fluffy
3. Beat in the egg
4. Add vanilla extract and mix
5. Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water and add to the butter mixture along with the salt
6. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips till no white streaks remain. Don’t overmix!
7. Bake for 10 minutes, rotating pans after 5 minutes
8. Cool on wire racks
