Officials announced Arvest Winterfest will delay its 2020 opening.

Officials stated Arvest Winterfest will now open on November 30th.

The delay is in support of Mayor G.T. Bynum asking Tulsans to "take it easy" and limit public interaction for the next 10 days to slow the spread of COVID-19, officials said.

"We plan to keep working closely with Dr. Dart and the Tulsa Health Department and will continue to make adjustments as recommended by them to make sure we provide our guests with the safest experience possible," said BOK Center Interim general manager Evan Falat. "BOK Center and ASM Global are committed to providing a safe experience to event attendees as has been demonstrated by the expansive safety protocols outlined in the VenueShield plan, that is aligned with public health authorities, medical and industry experts."

Officials said anyone who has already purchased tickets for "skating reservations between November 21-29 will be automatically refunded."
