An Oklahoma City man died in a single-car accident on Sunday morning.
The accident was reported just before 9 a.m. on Interstate 40 westbound near Dewey Bartlett Road in Okmulgee County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a vehicle driving westbound on I-40 began departing to the left of the roadway and then overcorrected to the right.
The vehicle then departed the roadway to the right, overturned several times and crashed into a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Leslye Moyd, was pinned in his vehicle for nearly two hours before he was extricated by the Henryetta Fire Department.
Moyd was pronounced dead at the scene by Okmulgee County EMS with "massive trunk internal injuries," per OHP's report.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Moyd's condition at the time of the accident is also under investigation.
