A new career and job center is opening in the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce building on Tuesday as a way to provide job help to those who are in need.
This community tool is called the “Work in Broken Arrow Career and Workforce Center." They will have an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. on Tuesday and will have a variety of resources.
At the center, people can seek assistance with:
-Job Search
-Remote Career Counseling
-Soft Skill Training
-Browse Open Positions
-Career Assessment
Referral for Training and Upskilling
-Job Placement
The space will be open both in person and virtually for anyone who has questions. They will be focusing on those who have been displaced during the pandemic and are searching for jobs during this unprecedented time. The one-stop-shop will be equipped with a computer lab for all the necessary work that goes into getting a new job.
Broken arrow city manager Michael Spurgeon said, “This was an opportunity for our city to join forces with Tulsa County to address the workforce needs of our businesses and also help our citizens find the employment they need to sustain their families.”
The opening ceremony is at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce. Anyone who attends the ceremony will be required to wear a mask.
