A new Tulsa Housing Authority program is offering some residents up to $10,000 to help them jumpstart their small business.
The program is called 'Building Our Tomorrow' and according to the housing authority, it is for residents who already have businesses or plan to start one.
Cassandra Love, from the Tulsa Housing Authority, said, “A lot of our residents already have businesses and are doing well, so we want to give them the extra boost they need to maybe move the business from home to a brick and mortar, kiosk or another type of rental space.”
According to the housing authority, it could award more than a dozen microgrants under the new program.
For those looking to receive a grant, visit the Tulsa Housing Authority website to apply and create a business plan. From there, a committee will review the applications and make their decision.
Program participants will need to attend a few virtual small business classes hosted by the Tulsa Economic Development Corporation.
The program is reserved for Tulsa housing residents only.
