5 Arrested Following Police Pursuit In Tulsa

Tulsa police say five people have been taken into custody after a police chase that ended near East 61st Street and South Mingo Road early on Thursday morning. According to officers, five people, including the driver, were inside the vehicle when the chase began and four of the passengers were juveniles.

Five people were arrested after a police pursuit that ended early Thursday morning near East 61st Street and South Mingo Road, police said.

According to officers, four of those arrested were juveniles.

Tulsa police had been searching for the driver on suspicion of pointing a deadly weapon. Authorities eventually found him near East 21st Street and South Garnett Road, which is where the pursuit began.

The suspect eventually drove into a parking lot before hitting a curb and getting out of the vehicle. All of the vehicle's passengers stayed inside the car.

Police deployed the K9 unit and quickly found the driver.

No names were released.
