Starting Wednesday, American Airlines is expanding its at-home COVID-19 testing for all travelers.
American Airlines is the first airline to introduce preflight COVID-19 testing in the U.S. The $129 test will help travelers, who test negative, avoid quarantines when flying to places with travel restriction.
American rolled out preflight testing for international flights in October. The airline says it's made great strides with that and sees the need to do the same for domestic travel.
Travelers can order the preflight COVID-19 test online through LetsGetChecked. The company will then mail a test to the traveler and they should get the results within 48 after sending it back.
