Organizers will begin setting up the Tulsa Christmas Parade on portions of Boston Avenue on Friday morning. This year’s event has changed into a drive-thru style parade because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attendees will line up on 7th and Boston Ave and travel four blocks through to the end of the parade at 3rd and Boston Ave. You can expect to see a tunnel of lights, giant balloons, floats and musical acts lined up on the streets.
The parade runs Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Organizers encourage people to line up early.
The event has been months in the making and organizers are excited to pull off the 94-year tradition again.
“It’s a fantastic parade line up like you would see traditionally marching past you but this time you’re driving past with your windows down,” said organizer Paul Ross. “You’ll be seeing everyone and they’ll be smiling wishing you a Merry Christmas.”
News On 6 has been tipped off by a reliable source who told us Santa Claus will be in attendance for the parade.
