Tulsa police say a man, who was arrested for a disturbance at a motel over the weekend, stole from an officer while in custody.

According to the Tulsa Police Department, the suspect stole an officer's MiFi hotspot in an attempt to smuggle it into the Tulsa County Jail.

Tulsa police officers first arrested Brandon Green on Saturday along East Admiral Place near South Memorial Drive and booked him into jail for false impersonation and defrauding an innkeeper.

Police said that after the arresting officer left the jail, he noticed his TPD MiFi hotspot was missing.

The officer, whose hotspot had gone missing, requested that Green be searched again more thoroughly and upon a second search, officers found that Green had taken the MiFi and hidden it in a private area of his backside.

Green is now facing three more charges and his court date is set for Monday.
