Veteran Salute: Jim Hill

News On 6 is continuing to recognize veterans across Green Country who are making a difference in their community!

Today, we recognize Jim Hill.

Jim served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He volunteered to go three-times twice to keep his younger brothers from being sent to the war zone.

He now rides with the Patriot Guard escorting veteran funerals.

He also works with the widows of soldiers who have died in Afghanistan and Iraq, and he occasionally attends welcome home celebrations.
