TULSA, Okla. -

Tulsa Police say they are searching for the man accused of stealing a car during a meet up to complete an online transaction.

Officers said around 6 p.m. on Monday they received a call in reference to a car being stolen at the QuikTrip near West 71st South and South Elwood Avenue. Police said the victim arranged to meet someone at the gas station for an online transaction, but when the victim arrived, he got out of his car and leaving it running with the keys inside.

According to police, the suspect got in the victim's car and drove off. Police said that the victim tried to catch the thief, but fell when he was hit by the side mirror of the stolen car.

The suspect also hit a Coca-Cola truck while driving away, causing minor damage, according to police.

TPD officials said about two hours later officers found the car at another QuikTrip a few miles away, but the suspect was not there.

Police said that the victim was only treated for minor injuries and is expected to recover.
