The Tulsa Health Department is asking people to do their part this Christmas to help prevent another holiday COVID-19 spike. According to the THD, the biggest issue is people gathering like they normally would for the holiday.

Executive Director of the Tulsa Health Department, Dr. Bruce Dart said that behavior paired with the false sense of security people sometimes get around family could mean trouble.

Dr. Dart said, "As opportunistic as this virus is, we give it any opportunity to move from person to person or community to community, it's going to take it. So these recommendations will hopefully mitigate the potential for transmission."

Dr. Dart added that those planning to travel should quarantine or take a COVID-19 test when they return.
