OHP Investigating Fatal Rollover Crash On Creek Turnpike

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a rollover crash that left one person dead on Thursday morning. According to troopers, the crash occurred around 8:24 on the Creek Turnpike near 145th East Avenue in Broken Arrow.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a rollover crash that left one person dead on Thursday morning.

According to troopers, the crash occurred around 8:24 on the Creek Turnpike near 145th East Avenue in Broken Arrow.

Troopers identified the victim as 30-year-old Scott Schwegler, who was driving westbound on the Creek Turnpike when, for unknown reasons, he drove off the road causing his vehicle to roll over into a ditch.

Schwegler's vehicle landed upside down in the ditch, pinning him beneath his vehicle for approximately 20 minutes before the Broken Arrow Fire Department was able to remove him.

No other drivers were injured during the wreck.

There is currently no word on what lead to the collision.
