The BOK Center is hosting a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event for both kids and adults to enjoy for the first time on Thursday.
As an addition to this year’s Winterfest events, the BOK Center is hosting a “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday as a family friendly way to celebrate the arrival of 2021.
The event is inside the arena and is free for anyone to attend. Ice skating will be available, but tickets need to be purchased online ahead of time so they can limit the number of people on the ice at one time.
Winterfest Express and an interactive snow globe will be available, along with a chance to win a hotel room & restaurant gift cards courtesy of Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown.
Event organizers say there will be special guests as well. Party favors and a noon countdown over the ice rink will be available for everyone ringing in the “noon year” to enjoy.
The BOK Center will be following the City of Tulsa’s physical distancing and limited capacity guidelines and everyone is required to wear a mask. There will be employees keeping people distanced and making sure the capacity is not exceeded.
Meghan Blood with the BOK said that the event is a great way to ring in the new year safely.
“We’re holding this event because we wanted to give families a fun and safe way to celebrate New Year’s Eve for everyone who won’t be awake to celebrate at midnight,” Blood said.
