Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Tuesday.
.GETTING ORGANIZED: It’s Organization Day at the State Capitol. Starting at noon, the House and Senate will elect officers and approve rules. The legislative session starts February 1.
.RUNOFF DAY: All eyes will be on Georgia Tuesday as voters head to the polls for runoff elections for two Senate seats. Both Republicans would have to win in order for the GOP to keep control of the Senate.
.COVID-19 QUESTIONS? Oklahoma’s healthcare professionals are hosting a virtual update on COVID-19’s infection rate, vaccine myths and the rollout of vaccines. The virtual media update is set for 12:30 p.m.
.SIGN UP FOR CLASS: Enrollment for next school year starts Tuesday for Tulsa Public Schools. It’s for all 77 schools in the district. Parents have until February 12 to enroll their students.
.BACK TO SCHOOL: Students in Broken Arrow are heading back to the classroom Tuesday and the district is asking for patience when it comes to transportation. 80% of routes have been changed since November to offset bus driver shortages.
.TAKE HOME FUN: If you’re looking for something to do with your little ones Tuesday, you can head the library in Owasso for a take-home kit, including a bear craft, and activity pages.
