An EMSA paramedic who died after fighting COVID-19 will be laid to rest on Tuesday and her co-workers are honoring her memory in a special way. EMSA officials said that the processional for Debbie Rusher will start in front of the EMSA headquarters at 10:30 a.m.

An EMSA paramedic who died after fighting COVID-19 will be laid to rest on Tuesday and her co-workers are honoring her memory in a special way.

EMSA officials said that the processional for Debbie Rusher will start in front of the EMSA headquarters at 10:30 a.m.

The processional will travel from Tulsa to Okmulgee, where Rusher’s family will hold a private funeral service.

Rusher died just after Christmas after spending several weeks in the hospital fighting COVID-19.

Rusher worked at EMSA for more than 20 years and her co-workers said she was one of those special paramedics who everyone knew and loved.
