Tulsa Police Identify Victim In First Homicide Of 2021

Tulsa police on Wednesday are investigating the first homicide of the new year. According to TPD, a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in the early morning hours. Police said the shooting happened at the Towne Square apartments located near North Peoria Avenue and East Apache Street around midnight. According to TPD, a man was shot and killed in the parking lot.

Tulsa police on Wednesday are investigating the first homicide of the new year. According to TPD, a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in the early morning hours.

Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Donza Settles, who was shot at the Towne Square Apartments located near North Peoria Avenue and East Apache Street around midnight.

Officers found Settles in the parking lot and attempted life-saving measures, he was taken to St. John's Hospital, where he died of his injuries at 12:39 a.m.

Tulsa police Lieutenant Brandon Watkins told News On 6 that nobody has been arrested in connection to the shooting.

According to Lt. Watkins, investigators are now going through the evidence, including the surveillance cameras at the apartment complex, to try and piece together what happened.
