Tulsa County Democrats Say It's Time To Accept Election Results

Tulsa County Democrats are saying that Oklahomans need to accept the results of the election.

They said throughout the pandemic many Republican leaders have used their energy to distract away from bigger issues Oklahomans are facing every day.

Local Democratic Party Leaders said our representatives are embarrassing Oklahoma on a national stage by joining in on the decision to challenge electoral college results.

They also said it’s important to hold your representatives accountable and ask questions.

Amanda Swope, the Tulsa County Democratic Party Chair said “I think that means making yourself aware of how they engage in the process, the votes they take, and making sure those votes impact you in a positive way as an Oklahoman and as a citizen.”

Swope said she was elated to see the results in Georgia and looks forward to the day President-elect Joe Biden is sworn into office.
