Tulsa detectives are investigating the first homicide of the year.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Peoria and Apache.
Police said they do not have anyone in custody, but they are hoping that evidence from the scene and surveillance video will lead them to a suspect.

When officers got to the Town Square Apartments they found Donza Settles lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.
"We don't know why this happened right now. Once we find the suspect then we might be able to get it figured out a little bit better," said Lt. Brandon Watkins.
Lt. Watkins said officers tried to save his life before paramedics arrived, but Settles didn't make it.
People on Facebook expressed disbelief at the news and offered condolences to Settles' family. One person said Settles helped a church hand out food boxes. Detectives said now they need to talk to anyone who might have seen what happened.
"We've had good cooperation from people who are in there who live in there because you know they have to live in there. So, we're just taking it the way we do all the others and hopefully have a suspect soon," said Lt. Watkins.
He said surveillance video shows the shooter and several other people running out of the complex.
"Watching the video there were two cars that were involved both of cars were left at the scene and we've towed them both," said Lt. Watkins.
Lt. Watkins said Settles has a criminal history, but they aren't sure if that played a role in the shooting.
If you know anything about the shooting, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
