Oklahoma’s Rhamondre Stevenson has declared for the 2021 NFL draft, the running back announced on social media Thursday in a post to Sooner Nation.
In a statement Stevenson said:
First, I want to thank God for giving me the blessing of being in the position I’m in. None of this is nearly possibly without his guidance.
Thank you to Coach Riley for believing in me coming out of junior college, and just being someone, I can lean on at anytime. Very special thanks to Coach Murray who never stopped believing in me and was a helping hand and personal guide for me to be successful and better my game. Thank you to the training staff, strength staff and nutrition staff for keeping me healthy during my years at Oklahoma.
Sooner Nation through the ups and downs, you guys have stuck with me, and you have been an amazing fan base to play in front of. Since I was 7 years old, I knew my aspiration, and that was to play at the highest level of football possible...the NFL. Now I get a chance to reach my lifelong goal. With that being said, I will be entering the 2021 NFL Draft. AGTG!
The junior college transfer was dominant when returning from suspension, taking over the OU backfield and rushing for 665 yards and 7 touchdowns in six games.
