Wagoner County Man Charged With Performing Lewd Acts With A Child

A man in Wagoner county has been charged with one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16 and assault and battery.

Investigators say 22-year-old Michael Clendenning knowingly touched a 13-year-old girl inappropriately three separate times in October of 2020. They say Clendenning also tried to touch an 8-year-old girl in a similar fashion, but that she pulled away and that he touched her hip and upper leg.

Investigators say Clendenning admitted to the acts in a text message.
