OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma State Department of Health said new appointments will now be posted Wednesday evenings overnight through Thursday mornings.

The state expects to receive nearly 50,000 doses of the vaccine next week.

Tulsa County said their COVID-19 vaccine appointments are already filled. No word on how many slots remain open in Oklahoma County.

Registration through the portal does not guarantee an appointment. The state will send you an email when appointments are available. Make sure you schedule the appointment once you get the email.

"The vaccine we get in each week is earmarked with distribution within the week," Oklahoma deputy health commissioner Keith Reed said. "The vaccine and the vaccine supply is available at no charge to the public."

The state health commissioner is warning the public of vaccine scams. The state wants to remind you that there is no way to get early access to a vaccine.
