Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Friday.
1.STUDENT MEALS: Tulsa Public Schools will pass out a week’s worth of meals for students who need them during the district’s break next week. That’s from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. and you can find a list of locations in this story here.
2.A TPS UPDATE: TPS will host a virtual briefing for Oklahoma lawmakers to give them updates on different programs and the district’s response to COVID-19. That starts at 8 a.m.
3.VACCINE QUESTIONS? The state health department will host another Q&A discussing the state’s online vaccination portal. That virtual press conference starts at 1 p.m.
4.FIGHTING COVID-19: The Oklahoma Caring Van will be distributing COVID-19 vaccines to school employees 65 and older at Union Friday. That starts at 9:30 a.m. near South 129th E Avenue and the Broken Arrow Expressway.
5.NEW COLLEGE CEREMONY: OSU and the Cherokee Nation will hold a private ribbon cutting ceremony for their College of Osteopathic Medicine. The ceremony will livestream on O-State TV at 2 p.m.
6.BAGEL DAY? It’s National Bagel Day. Philadelphia is partnering with the Ibotta app to offer a free tub of cream cheese while supplies last.
