A former Limestone Fire Department Chief is being laid to rest on Tuesday after he passed away earlier in January. The funeral service itself is not open to the public, but Facebook posts say anyone is welcome to the burial service.

According to Facebook posts, former Limestone Fire Chief Carl Smith passed away on Jan. 9, but Tuesday he will be laid to rest with a ceremony at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Owasso.

The funeral service will be live-streamed for anyone who would like to pay their respects virtually. The live stream can be found HERE.

According to the Limestone Facebook page, there will be a procession from the church to Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa where the chief will be buried. Organizers ask that any first responders please park their trucks and rigs in the church parking lot and wait to line up. The procession will begin shortly after the funeral.

The burial service at the cemetery is open to the public and the family has requested that everyone please wear a face covering at the services.
