Oklahoma Congressman Hern Introduces Bill Package Aimed At Changing Rules In Congress

Oklahoma Congressman Kevin Hern is introducing a new package aimed at substantially changing rules in Congress.

Representative Hern has introduced the "Roadmap to Congressional Reform" bill package.

The package includes legislation for term limits, withholding congressional salaries and canceling recess if the budget is not approved.

There is also legislation requiring bills to be published in full on a chamber website at least one week before a vote to allow time to read the bill.

The package would also extend the ban on any former Senator or Congressman from becoming a lobbyist for at least 10 years.
